The car has been so far very reliable. Nothing has gone wrong.
However there is some things that made me disappointed after driving the car for some time.
For example:
The car has a learning program in it's computer that has an effect on the transmission and the fuel feeding system.
If I for instance have to drive for some time slow in a traffic jam, and after that want to accelerate and start driving faster, nothing happens for some time. The car is very lazy until I perform many heavy accelerations, and the computer learns a faster driving manner.
The dashboard is very ascetic and the material of it is looking cheap for a car in this price range.
The radio and the loud-speakers are not up to the standard of a car in this price range.
Of course there is a possibility for a better radio for an additional charge.
The promised acceleration 8,1 sec. 0-100 km/h is only theory. Because of a "thinking" in the start, there is a loss of one sec.
The good things with the car:
Excellent chassis and driving conditions.
Excellent ESP system.
Excellent brakes.
Good looking design.
Nice colors.
Good comfort.
Good performance when the speed is already up.
Good bargain for the price.
In Finland it's not possible to buy a Renault Privilege. You can choose between Authentic, Decor or Optima.
