2006 Renault Megane Break 1.5 dCi105 Confort Expre review from France
"Better than I expected"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
Averaged 4.9l/100km (almost 60 mpg imperial) with cruise control set at 136 km/hr (around 83 mph) between Monte Carlo and Montpellier - so seriously economic.
Quiet at those speeds.
The small engine plays above its weight for acceleration.
The suspension is too soft - OK on motorways, but not on back roads.
Don't like the electric power steering.
This car is ex-Rental car from Spain. I bought it at a very good price, and expected a few problems.
