Guys, the megane is this kind of a strange breed. It is a mix of an excellent first class car yet nagging and annoying at the same time. and this is enough to make me feel that my money was spent in the wrong lane. My advice to you is that you should read its manual carefully, because it includes valuable tips on how to get the best out of this car and consequently avoid any troubleshooting. The problem is that it is a very delicate car that needs delicate treatment, specially in bad road conditions that is full of bumpers and holes all the way. The golden rule of thumb for this car is that "It needs a robot to drive it". by the way, I have my megane since november 2004. Inspite of what I said, I would never replace my car for less than an Audi or a BMW.
OK I had it for about 6 months, and am already selling it right now...
The car needs a lot of service if using it everyday... a lot of expensive nonsense parts, I wish I had the A4.
The Megane is a very good car, but needs a fortune to keep it going.
Well I have a 2005 Megane, and I drive it every day, and apart from the routine maintenance at the dealer, I do not have any additional expenses.
I changed the battery after 3 years, which is not bad. I had some problems with the power window controls, but that was due to the old battery malfunction. After we installed the new battery, everything went fine.
In short, I love the Megane and it is one of the best cars I have owned, and it is not so expensive to maintain.
Hey people..
I am a huuuuuuuuuuuge fan of my Megane.. it really is the one for someone who looks for prestige while driving..
I have a question.. mine doesn't have cruise control.. could anyone tell me where to get it at a cheap price, and where is the best to install it in Egypt??
Thanks a lot..
