1998 Renault Scenic RT review from UK and Ireland
"Absolute rubbish"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Cylinder head gasket and water cooler pipe went during a drive on motorway, resulting in serious engine damage (IE it basically melted). Needed to replace engine.
Have had to replace:
Catalytic converter.
Lambda sensor.
Exhaust manifold.
Middle box of exhaust system.
Back box of exhaust system.
Alternator belt.
Clutch.
CV Boots.
CV Joints.
Suspension Bushes.
Rear Brake Pads.
Windscreen wiper Link system.
Boot locking mechanism.
General comments?
Unbelievable amounts of money spent on this car, should be named the Renault Money Pit.
Avoid, avoid and above all don't buy one.
