1998 Rover - Austin 200 vi review from UK and Ireland
"Sporty fun high performance bargain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing serious.
Few creeks from interior.
Car pulls slightly to the left.
General comments?
I had a rover 420 GSI before I got this car and when I got in to it I did not seem to be to fast compared to my last one.
The car should have 145 brake horse power and the GSI had 138 but the gsi seemed fast I don't know why.
The car will go from 0 to 60 in under 8 seconds and will pull away from most cars on the road and handles very well in the dry, but in the wet it is a different story you can't put your foot down in first second or even third gear in the wet because the wheels just go spinning and it is not a good idea to put the foot down going round a bend in the wet (scary) but fun when you go sliding.
I think its to much power for the weight of the car.
How could I get more power from this car and how do I get it to stay on the road in the wet road?
