1991 Rover - Austin Maestro LX review from UK and Ireland
"Great first car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Cooling fan broke at 30,000 miles.
Dashboard coming away from mount.
Engine mount broke at 62,000.
Bad rust on wheel arches and doors.
Gearbox needed replacing at 50,000 miles
Central locking has a mind of its own.
Gear linkage popped out around 55,000 miles
Brake disc's and calipers replaced at 59,000 miles and 60,000 miles
Boot doesn't open when its icy outside.
General comments?
When I first got this car it ran beautifully.
Very cheap to run.
However it's not designed for city driving.
