1992 Rover - Austin Maestro Clubman D review from UK and Ireland
"An ideal cheap-family runabout with 55mpg average"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The clutch needed a new cable every so often, and was a result of it being seized up.
Handled like a bus.
Apart from that, it was a extremely reliable car.
General comments?
Got caught by a speed camera going 95mph. Either no film in it or the coppers said "Nah, there's something wrong with the camera".
Very comfortable seats.
Got arm-ache with the wind-up windows.
Phillips factory-fitted radio jammed a tape inside it. Had to listen to the Spice Girls for a fortnight until it was fixed.
