Temperature sensor causing the fan to run constantly.
Steering geometry losing the plot after hitting pot holes, etc. Rack is not located so slops around.
Managed to get stuck in 4th gear whopping it round the M25, after about 1,500 miles.
What a car!
It is complemented well by a brilliant S-Works conversion, which increased the power by 30% to 90bhp.
It handles like no other Mini I have driven before, sticks like glue, as I can't even get sideways around roundabouts, what fun!!
The interior trimmings are superb, and complemented well with cream dials all round, with a nice helping of full leather upholstery and an aluminum dash.
This car is the nuts!!!
Just wondering which model you have. Is it one of the 25 S Works?
Thanks.

The 37 s-works were the best model variant. My 1999 Mini 37 s-works, has a stage 5 head and many performance upgrades. At my last Dyno test this Vehicle was putting out 197bhp.It is so much fun to speed past that very expensive german car in the fast lane. I have resprayed mine calypso pink.
That must be mental!!! Who needs Alton Towers? I am green with envy.

Although I love classic minis I find it hard to believe you can get it to 197bhp! that would be incredible! whats its top speed? post reply below
You can get a 1293cc engine that produces 180hp so if that was a 1430cc or an 1480cc mini engine you could well easily go over the 200 hp mark you just need a decent gearbox to go with it to get the power down.
And how exactly do you get that much power down to the road?
Must have front tyres that meet in the middle...

I've got one of the 25 limited edition Cooper S Works in Brooklands Green and I absolutely adore it!
Its had quite a few engine mods (larey cam, cylinder re-bore, play-mini exhaust, stainless roller rockers, straight cut drops.. the list goes on!) and on long journeys isn't the most comfortable car I've ever driven, but on a dry day or especially through a tunnel with the windows down, it's an absolute peach of a car and never fails to bring a smile to my face!
It sounds so sweet that I now keep a scarf in the cab so I can drive with the windows down in winter!!!
My only recommendation would be an oil cooler if you're planning lots of motorway trips as my oil temp tends to creep up quite high on extended blasts up and down the country.
