1993 SAAB 900 S review from Germany
"Great 'sports utility sedan' - if you can afford the poor reliability"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine electronic - replaced at 40000 km for 900$
Air condition leak - fixed at 90000 km for 400$
muffler - replaced twice, at 80000 and at 115000
Driver door window fell down into door - several times each for 100$
Driver seat heating dead at 70000 - never fixed, would have cost 400$
V-belt replaced at 40000, cost 200$
Manual stick fixed for some strange reason, could only put neutral in, at 95000, cost 1500$
General comments?
Very stylish car, I particularly liked the hatch back with folding rear seats, large trunk and versatility.
Very good handling, sporty, silent.
"Night panel" is a quite comfortable feature never seen at any other brand
However, as much I liked the car, as much I was disturbed by the poor reliability.
