1996 SAAB 900 S review from North America
"Find a good, reasonable mechanic and you will enjoy this car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Battery replaced after 3 years.
Exhaust failed at 80,000 miles.
Convertible top began malfunctioning at 79000 miles, replaced at 82000.
Headlamps only last 3-6 months per bulb.
Distributor cap at 70,000.
Small, random pieces of interior trim constantly breaking.
Power antenna no longer retracts.
General comments?
Handling and performance are adequate for a cruiser convertible like this.
Solid and heavy, feels safe.
Repairs cost nearly as much as BMW and MB's competing cars.
Looks good, decent room.
