1994 SAAB 9000 CSE review from North America
"Solid, safe impressive car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Control arm bushings and wheel bearing.
CD unit.
CV axle.
Head gasket @ 125k.
These are all normal for any car this age and miles, so I can't fault it here.
General comments?
The car is a very well built car. The performance is really impressive for a car this age, and to improve performance and repair it isn't as expensive if you compare to other euro manufacturesr. Fix yourself or independent mechanics, and Internet stores and forums help keep prices reasonable.
What you have to know is this car is a performance sedan (not a sports car). It may not look it, but on the road you will know it, and as such service is a must ie fluids/plugs/belts and tensioner to keep it running well.
A lot of extras that are still not standard today. Power leather heated seats, power/heated sidemirrors/ sunroof/ onboard computer display etc comfortable safe cruiser, all for not much money. It's hard to beat that.
