1994 SAAB 9000 CSE review from UK and Ireland
"Fast safe comfortable large hatchback"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Exhaust downpipe fractured at the flexible joint £117.
Exhaust gasket needs replacing (sooty area on cylinder head)
Air conditioning not working.
Rear window washer pipe damaged.
Direct ignition faulty (occasional no start when hot, has to be left for exactly 5mins before it will start)
Poor radio reception (aerial lead needs reconnecting/ replacing)
Check engine light is on (flash code indicates new oxygen sensor needed)
General comments?
Most comfortable car I've ever been in.
Turbo noise gives the impression of going a lot faster than you are.
Huge boot and space for rear passengers.
Good ventilation.
Good sound system.
Can be economical but the turbo tempts you to blast it to the feel the boost at 3000rpm.
2.0 ecopower turns out to be the least economical in the range.
Saab parts are expensive, so don't buy them, use Eurocarparts, German & Swedish and other companies.
