I had to replace the head gasket at 17800 miles did this myself I had to fill the waterways in with a little j. b weld and then let it go hard over night after then I sanded the head down gently put head gasket back on and the car has been superb again since I did the work no other faults have happened that have been major.

Build quality is far by none solid as a rock.
Comfort and equipment is excellent.

It's a bit heavy on fuel, but then it's a big car.
Cost to do head gasket myself came to about £150.00.
Most Saab owners DO drive like they're asleep. Not to knock my British friends, or Swedish GM affiliate, but hey. Just something I've noticed.
