1994 SAAB 9000 cse lpt review from UK and Ireland
"Good, but can be better"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Manifold head studs are broken. Some studs are broken into the head and head has to be skimmed.
Inner outer throttle cable damaged. accelerator feels very stiff when driving relating to becoming stuck when driving fast.
Radiator is leaking where as I have to fill up the water tank every 2 weeks.
Engine is noisy and feels rough.
Cruise control temperamental. Only works when it wants to.
Headlamp wash wiper motor has gone.
Standard factory fitted aerial for stereo is no longer working at full capacity.
And glove box hinges aren't very stable meaning glovebox rattles.
General comments?
The saab 9000 cse lpt is a very good car.
Handles very nicely n straight roads and sometimes corners.
Performance is good, but not the best I would expect in a saab.
Its got the trip board computer and tells me relevant information however the miles for petrol aren't very accurate.
Reliability is good, but I seem to be disapointed on a few things that have gone wrong with the car and parts seem to be expensive and rare because you can't go to your local scrapyard to get the parts your require. Only saab dealers which are very expensive.
Built quality is average with dents appearing from nowhere on the doors.
