"Good, but can be better"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Manifold head studs are broken. Some studs are broken into the head and head has to be skimmed.

Inner outer throttle cable damaged. accelerator feels very stiff when driving relating to becoming stuck when driving fast.

Radiator is leaking where as I have to fill up the water tank every 2 weeks.

Engine is noisy and feels rough.

Cruise control temperamental. Only works when it wants to.

Headlamp wash wiper motor has gone.

Standard factory fitted aerial for stereo is no longer working at full capacity.

And glove box hinges aren't very stable meaning glovebox rattles.

General comments?

The saab 9000 cse lpt is a very good car.

Handles very nicely n straight roads and sometimes corners.

Performance is good, but not the best I would expect in a saab.

Its got the trip board computer and tells me relevant information however the miles for petrol aren't very accurate.

Reliability is good, but I seem to be disapointed on a few things that have gone wrong with the car and parts seem to be expensive and rare because you can't go to your local scrapyard to get the parts your require. Only saab dealers which are very expensive.

Built quality is average with dents appearing from nowhere on the doors.

You are bound to find a saab junkie somewhere... I have one the next town over who acquires saabs in all sorts of conditions... must have around 50 of em... and uses most of the parts to fix others so he can sell them... They will also do an awesome job fixing you car for a low price... I have never heard any one rant about saabs reliability.. and they seem to be a solid car even at a (by american standards) high mileage. My 900 was just totaled cause some stupid girl at my school rear ended me.. but a 9000 will be my next.

LOL, should had changed the oil and filter and air filter about 30000 miles ago, and I'd be surprised if there was anything left of the plugs. A good service will help it, and the old engines didn't seem to blow up, they used to let you know they were dying, and took a long long time to do it. Service it and use it for next year, then change the engine or get rid is my advice.
