1998 SAAB 9000 CSE review from North America
"sweet ride"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Air Condition compressor clutch went out at 100k miles. The dealers could charitably morons. When the compressor went out the dealer said $2k and I would have to wait 6 weeks for the repair. I got the compressor and installed it myself after waiting a week for delivery at 1/4 the price.
General comments?
The car has been remarkably reliable with good performance for a reasonable price. Mine has a 100k on it now with no signs of a problem. Mileage is to good to be true the computer says 34.5 average mostly on country roads.
The Saab's have poor resale so you can purchase one off lease or used for a relatively good price. CSE seats a little trying after 2 hours. I bought my wife a 9-5 and it has been good so far.
