2003 Saturn ION Ion 2 review from North America
"Trying to rip off the blue collar workers!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Do Not buy a 2003 Saturn Ion With the CVT (Constantly Variable) Transmission, GM does not build a rebuild kit for this transmission and the dealership and any other place wants $4800 for a new one! They quit putting them in the car because they knew it was a faulty transmission. Don't let Saturn give you NO for a answer, go to the Attorney General and file a complaint, they WILL get you taken care of! No transmission specialist I have spoken with expect these trannys to last over 100,000 miles, which is pathetic for a car. BEWARE! My car had just over 88,000.
General comments?
Smooth ride until this happened. Also finding a lot things seem to come apart. Plastic pieces in fenders and around bumper. Not well built.
