2003 Saturn ION review from North America
"It is not worth it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The seat belt holders on the head rest broke off way too easily, after having the car for two years. The dealer will not allow you to purchase them. They have to install them for safety reasons.
The ignition became a problem about the same time. We took it to a Saturn dealer. They said they could not find a problem with it. So we just dealt with it. Took it back the following winter and they tried to fix the problem. All they did was replace the ignition. Now we have a problem with getting the key in and out.
We have had other problems too, and contacted the corporate office and they are no help with their product.
The sunroof leaks when the car is sitting on uneven ground. The window seals on the suicide doors are falling apart.
General comments?
The car handles bad in wet and snowy conditions.
The inside of the car is way too small. The sides are nothing but a big blind spot. The windows seals are lousy.
