2005 Saturn ION review from North America
"Will never buy another Saturn! Ever!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Vehicle service light was coming on.
Intermittently would not start.
Misdiagnosed 4 times; battery, alternator, starter, back to battery, then BCM.
Took it to Saturn and they replaced the BCM, at nearly $800. Happened 2 more times. Took it back 2 more times, then out of nowhere, it was the ignition switch! I told them from day one to check the ignition switch 1st. They said they did, but nothing was wrong with it the 1st time! Took 2 more times for them to figure it out. Didn't charge me for the $40 part or labor, and would not admit misdiagnoses or refund my $800. So, I paid $800 for a $40 part. I called the service manager to work this out. No return call as of yet. Quote Judge Judy "If it doesn't make sense it's not true"!
Signed Ripped off Customer.
General comments?
Works for now. Not happy with this car! Why has it not been recalled. I am reading on the Internet this happens time and time again. Dealership denies it!
