2006 Saturn ION Ion-2 Quad Coupe review from North America
"This car was a disappointment due to multiple problems"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Power window switches and/or motor failure (multiple).
Reverse light switch failed.
Seat upholstery came unattached in various places.
Interior trim pieces fall off at random.
Sunroof mechanism broke; cost $350 to replace.
Clutch pedal squeaks horribly- must lubricate it on a regular basis.
Passlock system has failed twice (leaves car immobile).
At 58,000 miles, wheel bearings failed; cost over $400 to have replaced.
At 59,000 miles, fuel pump went bad; cost $600 to replace.
General comments?
The car has had problems that a sub-4-year-old car with average mileage should NOT see.
Overall, the car looks good and gets very good MPG, and the performance is more than adequate.
