Had to take the car in 3 times to have the sun roof radling fixed.
The sun roof seal had to be replaced.
There was an overspray on the car when I bought it. They tried to detail it, but did a terrible job.
Would not recommend a saturn to anybody.
If you ever need parts, you are almost forced to buy from the dealer. When parts are available from a discount supplier, they are very expensive.
Saturn does have a very good service department.
The car has lost at least 50% of its resale value in less than 3 years.
I had a 1996 Saturn sedan, the five speed transmission was the biggest nightmare I have ever had in my life, this car had around 80,000 miles on it and the transmission was shot, after spending a ton of money having it repaired two months later it went out again... now if I drove this car rough I might expect something like that, but I drive very easy and mostly highway miles. Well the transmission had warranty on it and again it went to the shop and was repaired well after another two weeks the 2nd gear wouldn't engage I had to go straight to 3rd, the transmission shop "cottman transmission" would not repair this car again even though I have paid over 1200.00 in repairs, he claims it's a manufacturers issue and I needed to take it to saturn. Then of course Saturn tells me another story. I hired a lawyer and am trying to sue "Cottman transmission" However I took this Saturn and parked it in the garage and went straight to a local Ford dealership and bought a very very cheap "$2500" Ford Aspire which has not had a single problem yet. I am not the only one that has had problems with this five speed I have talked to several people online that have had this same thing happen. I hope I can just get this thing fixed one last time so I can sell it and get some of my money back out of it while I still can... I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER SATURN OF ANY KIND EVER!
I had bought a 2000 Saturn LS2 brand new I have never had any major problems with this car. When I took the car to the dealer the mechanics were very helpful, they never forced me to buy anything that was not needed unlike other car dealers, I found that the people at the dealer were very informative and prompt. I think that this car is a perfect family sedan the ride is comfortable and quiet, the automatic transmission works very well with the V-6 engine, The wind and road noise are also very quiet. This is a great car, I would recommend this car to anyone.
I had bought a new 2004 Saturn L300 V-6, the exterior of this car has changed quite a bit since the previous versions of the L Series. The engine, road noise, and wind noise are very quiet, the ride is quite comfortable. I found the dealer to be very helpful the no hassle policy is great which was one of the reasons that I had went back and bought my second Saturn. The mechanics were very informative and helpful, they helped find the problem and fix it with quality work that I trust. Which most other car dealers you can't.I have had no problems with this L-300. I would recommend a Saturn vehicle to anyone who is looking for a reliable, comfortable, family sedan.
'Terrible resale value' is only bad to those buying new... FANTASTIC for those buying used! If you have a gripe against a 1996 Saturn or the like, kindly make it in the appropriate section... this is a 2000! Thank you.
