Started leaking Coolant at 119000.
Always feel like I'm going to be blown off the highway when the car goes above 50mph.
Water was leaking into the car when it rains hard.
Engine starts to moan every two-three weeks as oil running low. The saturn eats oil or leaked oil, but for whatever reason, it was always begging for oil.
Check engine light was always on since I got the car, was told when I went for NYS inspection that the emission sensor or something had to be replaced for more than the car was worth so I had to register the car in Alabama.
Automatic Seatbelt Module almost burned the car because the fuse kept blowing and I kept installing new ones. It so happens the smart people at Saturn decided to put below electronic components right where someone put their drinks on top. Over the years people probably spilled drinks and it fell on these components and the wires started to burn. It's a good think cars have fuses.
It may seem like I had a bad time, but it's wasn't all bad. The car only not start all, but twice. Once when the starter died at around 110k miles and two months ago when my brand new $89 battery from Sears died. To believe that Mechanic from Sears wanted to charge me $14.95 to install a battery and had the nerve to get an attitude when I told him I'm not paying him nothing and to give me my battery so I can go on my way.
I loved the sunroof, It never failed and never had a problem with that. The trunk was very large, but I hardly used it anyway.
It was a very very reliable car, 20 inches of snow and all I had to do was start up and put that front wheel drive into action.
Betsy "my SC2 nickname" was always there when I needed her. Put the key in the ignition and we were off.
I got rid of Betsy today, actually, I pick up my new car from the dealer on monday so I will be parting on monday.
I did have some problems with this car with the oil and eventually the coolant problem which really just ticked me off because I hate having to buy $9 coolant only to see it leaked on the ground which is the main reason why I'm getting rid of her.
OH, if anyone would like to know. My New car is Venus, a 2002 Saturn SC2.
OK I have a question,..when I bought my saturn a mth. ago, the automatic seatbelts were disconnected,..and I think the fuse was removed also, if they are run by a fuse,..I don't have a manual either, the car is a 94 saturn, can you tell me where to locate the fuse for them if there is one?
