1993 Saturn SL SL2 review from North America
"Great value and reliability!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New alternator at 120,000 miles.
New front brakes at 120,000 miles.
General comments?
Great commuter. 31-36 mpg day in and day out.
Ran like a champ - never failed to start in our cold winters, and front wheel drive is great in the snow.
Bought it for $3,000, had it for 5 years and put 62,000 miles on it and sold it for $2,300!
My only reliability complaint is the inside plastic trim over the front doors/windshield have plastic clips that break real easy, and then this piece seems to sag.
The only design complaint I have is the stupid automatic seat belts - what a pain - easy to get grease on yourself - they always seem to be closing when you are not ready.
Overall a great little car for the $!
