1993 Saturn SL SL2 review from North America
"MPG is great, car is crap"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Seats are worn out.
Burns a LOT of oil (1 quart/ 1k miles).
Rear main seal and now my new clutch slips.
General comments?
At first when I got this car it was great. I paid 800 bucks for it.
I'm into it now for 2500, and now I have a 1k dollar repair to do.
The rear main seal blew in the engine, so now it leaks oil onto my clutch disk, causing the clutch to slip.
When it was running well I loved the car.
I always get 30-34 mpg easy with spirited driving.
I love the controls on the car, especially the power window controls in the center of the car.
Overall I like the car, but with only 115k miles on it, it's problem after problem after problem.
I'm going to keep it and run it into the ground, then buy a newer economy car, but I'll be smart and buy a Toyota or Honda.
