2001 Saturn SL review from North America
"231,000 miles and still running like a champ"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Tires, brakes, alternator in the first 200,000 miles.
Struts at 231,000 miles.
General comments?
I give my cars good routine maintenance, and drive them moderately.
I get 35 mpg, even after 231,000 miles.
Without a doubt, this has been the best car I have ever owned. I cannot find a vehicle currently made that I would want to replace it with, so I will drive it until it can no longer be repaired. I am sorry that neither management nor union wanted to continue to prove just how good a car we could build in the US. To those who built my car, thank you. You did a great job.
