1993 Saturn SL SL2 review from North America
"Excellent car at an excellent price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine mount bracket failed within first year; quickly replaced.
I am on my second alternator and third battery - I recently had the steering pump changed at 90,000 miles (leaking and shorting out system - told that was the reason for my continued problems)
Electrical issues with sun roof and interior fan - won't blow on high. Have not fixed.
Running the air conditioner has a noticable effect on engine.
General comments?
Fantastic car; reliable, comfortable, handles well. I have enjoyed every mile in it. The service at Saturn is impeccible. I have recommended others, including family, and every one has been pleased. I would definately purchase another Saturn. I have put some rough miles on this car and I have never worried about its performance.
