Driver's door speaker quit working, which was promptly replaced by Saturn of Tallahassee under warranty.
Other than the above I have had absolutely no problems with this vehicle.
Runs like a dream and is fun to drive. I Get 30 miles to the gallon in the city/country loop I drive to and from work and over 35 strictly highway. In addition I would like to say that the Saturn of Tallahassee sales and service departments are top notch. Love the "no haggle" pricing. The no haggle carries over into the service department as well. All warranty work on both the Saturn's I owned was completed right the first time without any threats on my part. Once I took my previous Saturn in for an oil change and to my surprise the mechanic fixed an oil leak he found by replacing the valve cover gasket without me even asking. I had an extended warranty on this car and the service manager said it was Saturn's policy to repair any problems they find that are covered under warranty even though the customer does not request it. Talk about service!
I don't own a Saturn, but a friend of mine does, having driven it I can tell you that even with the manual transmission it has very little power, but not bad gearing.
It does get very good gas mileage though.
I can't disagree more with the previous review. I just bought a 2002 SL2, and the twin-cam is what gives it that extra kick. The previous reviewer was probably talking about a single cam (SL1). This is the second SL2 I've owned and even at 50mph, I was able to accelerate from 50-70 in just a few seconds. This has been the most reliable car I've owned, not to mention the driving of it is extremely comfortable, even on pot-holed roads. I highly recommend this car.
