2000 Saturn SL review from North America
"It is a very fuel efficient and economically sound buy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The only issue we have ever had mechanically with the car are the fuses going out. As far as dependability goes it is a great car.
One annoying thing has been a panel cover that refuses to stay on. It is located under the dashboard in the middle between the driver's and passengers seat. My husband is very tall and every time he puts his feet in the car he hits the panel and it falls off. We finally gave up and put that panel in the trunk.
General comments?
In general this is a great car. The biggest downsides for us have been car seat installation (I cannot get the car seats to ever get a good fit) and the fact that sitting in this car is incredibly uncomfortable for long periods of time.
Overall it is a great car for people who don't like to spend a lot of money on fixing up cars. At over 103000 and going all over the country I haven't had any major mechanical repairs. I am amazed at the reliability of this car. It does have rattles and noises, but it has never had any serious problems.
