"Mechanically sound low cost to operate somewhat uncomfortable ride"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear brakes needed a full repair.
Front brakes calipers only.
Plugs/Wires.
PCM/EGR/Coil.
Battery.
Air Filter.
PCV.
General comments?
This is our second Saturn SL2, the first gave up the ghost at 268000 miles.
We bought the first one new and were looking for an engine when the second came along for $1500.
We salvaged the good tires from the other Saturn and I changed oil/filter and lubed everything I could find.
This little 4dr handles great, has super acceleration and gets about 33mpg.
We have a bike/canoe rack on it and fill it full of camping gear and dogs and take it all over.
It has been a great commuter and the only complaint I have is what Saturn, like every steal-ership charges when
you have to get something fixed that a back yard mechanic cannot diagnose.
I'll probably never buy another new car, but will look for used deals and do a little fix-up on them, and Saturn's will be one of my choices.
