1994 Saturn SL SL2 review from North America
"I love my Saturn and would recommend it to anyone!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
One Week after buying the car I had to replace the muffler for 99$, no big deal.
Since then the only thing I have done for the car is tires brakes and regular oil changes.
General comments?
Compared to the 1984 Jeep that was my first car this car is awesome! I really do love it. It gets great gas millage and hasn't broke down on me yet.
Many people don't like Saturn's because they're a relatively new company, but they are made with quality and 10 years later are still extremly reliable.
When I sit in traffic too long it does start to over heat. Usually it will red-line, and then the the fan will come on and it will cool down to normal. This is the only complaint I have about this car.
I average about 33MPG in city driving. It's stylish for an older car, and the original sound system is pretty good too! It's not the fastest car out there, but it can keep up, and passing isn't a problem. My Automatic transmission always shifts smoothly. It's a fun car to drive being low to the ground, and handles very responsively.
