1993 Saturn SL SL1 review from North America
"This car was great until it fell apart in a day"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
It burns a quart of oil every 500 miles.
The transmission needs replaced.
The fork is broken.
The clutch needs replaced.
The bearings in the bottom of the engine need replaced.
The hazards don't work.
The Sunroof needs the electronics replaced.
The car leaks water when it rains.
General comments?
I bought this Car for $1500 in August of 2003. It worked great except for burning oil. I took it in and got it looked at Saturn dealership several times and they didn't tell me anything major was ever wrong with it. And then my 1st day commuting 60 miles to my new job, the car's transmission and engine have serious problems. The mechanic said it would cost about $3000 to fix it! Ouch! It is better to buy a new car than fix it.
