2000 Saturn SL SL2 review from North America
"Falls apart in 5 years / 40000 miles"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine seal leak. 25000 miles
Steering gear failure. 30000 miles
Battery cracked. 4 years
Exhaust system leak. 35000 miles
Fuel injector failure. 37000 miles
Ignition module failure. 37000 miles.
General comments?
I fell for the whole "Saturn family" thing hook line and sinker.
"Fool me once"
This can has suffered a major and expensive failure every 4-6 months since the warranty expired.
The dealer did fix the engine seal after I paid a $100 deductible and the steering failure for free.
All the rest is up to me.
My previous car was a 1982 Toyota Corolla which I drove for 18 years until
too much wore out all at once to repair
practically.
This Saturn is a joke, I won't be buying another.
