2002 Saturn SL SL2 review from North America
"Fun to drive and reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The dashboard developed a rattle, and the dealer repaired it under warranty.
The cruise control will allow the speed to drop once in a while.
General comments?
This car has good performance and handles like a sports car with a moderately firm ride.
It has an excellent instrument panel that is functional and easy to read at a glance.
The seats are comfortable on long trips, and the CD player/stereo is much better than auto makers supplied years ago. there is no need to buy any after market audio upgrades.
The SL2 twin cam has plenty of acceleration for getting on fast moving expressways in the big cities, and has a four speed automatic transmission that is smooth shifting.
Fuel mileage is as high as 41 mpg hwy
and upper 20's in the city
using Mobil 1 synthetic oil.
