1995 Saturn SL SL2 review from North America
"Although the SL2 is a good auomoble, but it is a bit rough around the edges"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The valve cover gasket failed.
The tranmission's seal failed.
The alternator failed. When the alternator died. The battery had to be replaced.
General comments?
The car is basic transportation. It has a noisy engine and the automatic transmission seems to hunt for the proer gear on hills. The car's handling is a high point.
The seats are generally comfortable and the controls are convenient to us. The turnsignal stalk is quite stiff. When driving the car, one is very aware of wind and engine noise.
Overall, the car is easy and predictable. It isn't meant to be a sports or luxury car, but it is afforable.
