1995 Saturn SL SL2 review from North America
"Great car for the price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Belt tensioner.
Moon roof broke.
Power windows have all quit working.
A/C takes forever to get cool.
General comments?
Overall since this car was bought used and is over 10 years old it is a great car.
It is peppy and I love to drive it fast on the freeways.
It gets great gas mileage and I have not had the oil burning issues I see others have had. We change the oil every 3 months rather than every 3,000 miles though.
The belt tensioner went 3 months after I bought the car. (This must be a common issue with Saturn since my husband's 2002 L300 just had the belt tensioner go this past weekend)
Last summer the moon roof went off track- we worked like heck to get it back on and we do not use it at all.
The rear left window also stopped working last summer. Then a few months later the right rear window went. Last night the passenger and driver side windows went.
Needless to say we have to replace this car soon, but not sure if we will go with Saturn again or not, our last 3 cars have been Saturn's. We have been happy with our service at the dealership so we may try the ION. The reviews are mixed on it so I will have to do more research.
