2003 Saturn VUE le review from North America
"Stay away from the Vue and saturn"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The First VTI transmission failed at 31000 miles. Saturn replaced it with No problem. I also received a letter from saturn around the same time extending the warranty to 5yr/75000 miles. I brought the letter to the dealer who performed the work and he told me it applied to the new transmission that was just installed. The 2nd transmission started to give me problems about 8 months later. I brought it in to the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. In the notes on the receipt it mention "monitoring the trans" a few months later I returned to the dealer complaining of it shifting roughly. they ordered an engine mount (?) and re calibrated it. I returned again a few months later and they 'fixed" the problem. well at 86000 miles total (55000 on the new trans.) it needs to be replaced again. NOW Saturn claims the warranty does NOT cover the new transmission. the New transmission had a 12 month/12000 miles warranty, which of course I am out of. they want $6000 to replace it.
They LOST a customer for life.
