2005 Saturn VUE review from North America
"Average car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
We had an sl2 model when they first came out 1991. Fantastic and solidly built car. Dove it for 199,996 miles and then sold it and it is still running fine. We got a 2002 SL2. Last year of production and a piece of junk. Really bad problems with the transmission. We traded it on a 2005 Vue thinking that the newer designed car would be better. We had problems with the transmission engaging (within parameters-dealer) now the slave trasmission cylinder went at 42000 - just out of warranty. The dealer (lynchburg) wanted $700. After much yelling they said "they called spring hill" nad that it would only be half the price. Thanks. I think that the "idealistic" way that saturn was in the early days is gone and now they are just like all the rest.
General comments?
Not a bad car. Service is not what it was.
