2003 Saturn VUE review from North America
"Don't buy one, save yourself the longterm grief"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Where do I start?
Most recently, throttle body control, twice in two years.
Replaced both front struts, front wheel rotors, calipers, brakes, all wheel bearings, coolant pump, engine wire harness (which has to be replaced again for $1400.00), and there are various and sundry other major repairs that I have done in the last two years, this is the short list.
I don't mind paying or replacing things as they go bad, but having to replace them twice in a two year period, is a bit much. I'm not made of money. I want to trade it, but my service engine light won't stay off, or my car won't "act" right for me to get rid of it.
Of course all of these repairs and others were done by a Saturn dealer, for all the good it's done me. I've been repairing this auto since I bought it.. don't do it. Buy a Toyota.
General comments?
All of my issues have been under the hood.
It's an SUV, it's gonna make noises and rattle.
Overall it's been OK, except for the thousands of dollars I have pumped into it recently.
