2003 Saturn VUE LX review from North America
"SATURN will have to answer for this car in the very near future - I guarantee it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Multiple problems, but most seriously the Clutch Actuator went out at 41,500 miles.
General comments?
The vehicle itself is nice to drive when it is running or not being serviced for manufacturing defects.
Thus far the wipers have gone out, the fuel gauge has gone bad, the drivers side power window went out, and most recently - and seriously the clutch actuator went out. This particular problem could be a safety concern. Fortuantely this occured while I was at my place of employment, and not on a trip. The total cost to repair was around $860.00 by a local mechanic. The dealership wanted to charge me $1600.00. The shop that repaired the vehicle had to wait a week and a half to get the part because they were on "back order". I have done some investigating and discovered that this is a growing problem as this model years VUE's pass the 38000 to 44000 mile mark - how convienient for SATURN.
All problems stated are fact and have not been imbellished. BUYER BEWARE!
