What's gone wrong? It's just been one thing after another. First thing I noticed was the bug deflector clicking in the wind. After "fixed" by the dealer and two different lots of screws, I finally gave up and took it off entirely.
Next, clunking noises in the steering column, the steering boot apparently needs to be greased.
After this, it took several calls to the dealer before they would replace the steamed up headlight. And since then, the pattern continues.
Four door handles replaced due to squeaks.
All strut mounts replaced.
Fuel tank gauge replaced.
Service engine soon lights coming on several times.
Recall on the rear suspension.
Driver's side leaking in the rain which the dealer failed to duplicate, (said it must have been the wind blowing at the same time as the rain was coming down!)
I get excessive wind in through the door seals which the dealer doesn't see as a problem.
And I almost forgot, a paint job for the vehicle, and getting a replacement car while the thing was in the garage
was not easy.
The engine sounds at times like the muffler is gone. (seriously!) Dealer can't find a problem here either.
I'm sure there were other problems, but there were so many, I have forgotten them for the moment.
I like the looks of this vehicle and I like the ride it gives, but the host of problems as just made me wary of what will happen when the warranty runs out. I am sorry I purchased this vehicle, and if I wasn't in a lease, I would have got rid of it a long time ago.
I just took my Vue into the dealer because the service engine soon light came on. They found that there was moisture in the foam under the carpet corroding the electrical wires. They are looking for the leak now.
