2004 Seat Leon SX review from UK and Ireland
"Seriously Good Car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Gearbox Linkage quite loose at 20K.
General comments?
Bought the car from a SEAT Dealer, very good deal.
Car is looks very smart and classy. Looks unique - not your everyday Focus or 307. SX - looks great, esp wiv Fogs and Alloys.
Performance for a 1.6 is very reasonable, can keep motorway speeds well, not too noisy unless reved hard.
Handling is pretty good, safe, good grip and ride isn't bad, though a bit on the hard side. Brakes aren't great though even with the ABS.
Interior is a step up from the MK VI Astra, lifted straight from an MK1 A3. Great quality on top, can't fault it. Equipment is very generous, climate and traction control some of its highights. Practical car too, can take a lot of stuff and lots of useful places to stash bits bobs.
Cannot fault the car much, Dealer is fantastic, replaced Cambelt no questions asked after the engine cover fell off and trapped against the Cambelt. Service Costs very reasonable too. Only criticism, is the gearbox, is a bit like a pudding sometimes, difficult to engage a gear.
Part from that, a Brilliant Car.
