My SEAT Toledo 150bhp 1.9 Tdi never fails to entertain me.

It came with cruise control leather seats satellite navigation, climate control, electric heated seats, electric parking mirrors, MFA computer 4 electric windows, electric sunroof and much more.

Adding the option of 18-inch alloy wheels off of the Leon Cupra R has resulted in excellent handling and better poise at speed.

Performance allows you to keep up with all the 1.8T VW petrol engines while returning 50mpg and more.

The smooth way this engine responds to the throttle makes this car a joy to drive, and the supportive seats, at least the front ones make it excellent on long distances.

My advice is don’t bother with the V5 – with a few tweaks this 1.9 TDI version will not only out perform them, but will hold on to it’s value for longer and be far cheaper to run.

This is a truly understated car – which will never fail to bring a smile to your face as the 236lb/ft of torque sends you on your merry way!

Never worry about corrosion – these, like so many cars today are galvanised with a 12 year anti-perforation warranty.

Although 100% reliable, in my experience they also come with a 3 year (extendable to 4 years) parts and labour warranty - get one of these and get a 5 mile smile for free!
