1989 Shelby CSX-VNT review from North America
"A true domestic exotic"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
A true domestic exotic, but finding capable dealers and mechanics who understand such an advanced turbo setup has been a challenge.
General comments?
Violently fast on the street, and when in proper tune, a true 150 + mph vehicle. Oh did I mention the big block type power band? The Chrysler 4 cylinder has to be one of the most durable and versatile engine ever. This vehicle has unbelievable response and acceleration.
The VNT system is years ahead of its time, and when properly maintained, very reliable. Indeed, racers and manufacturers alike are just now starting to implement some of the technology used in this vehicle.
