1998 Skoda Felicia LX review from Slovakia
"Not bad, but could be better"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
There is always something wrong with the car.
Total costs for engine repairs: 400 Eur in 3 and 1/2 years.
But from inside there were no major problems.
Seats and board still like new.
General comments?
I think 1.6 litre engine is the best option if you want to buy a felicia. It is quite fast. This engine just love the low revs!!! Do not try to use the high revs! There is no power in the high revs.
The car goes very quick if you use the revs from 2500-4500 but do not try to hit the red line. This car do not like that.
Power only 75BHP, but 135 Nm at 2500 revs = That is why this car is so quick in the city.
From 0-100 km/h or 0-60m in just 11.9 sec. was my personal record. That is not bad for Felicia. The running costs are also very low, most things you can repair yourself.
Top speed is 170 km/h as listed from the manufacturer.
So. If you are looking for the Felicia... Do not look for the poor 1.3 or the old 1.9 diesel. Go for the 1.6 engine
