Nothing.
I have only recently bought this car, which was 4 years old, but with very low mileage. The car was also in very good condition. Despite only having a 75bhp engine the car is very lively with good acceleration and provides a very smooth ride. The car has a solid high quality feel, and I have only 2 criticisms. The first is the lack of a wiper for the rear window (which has been added on later models) and a lack of cup holders and other cubby holes for putting things such as sun glasses and mobile phones etc.
This car is certainly in a higher class than the Felicia despite the LX being the most basic trim level sold in the UK.
I wrote the above review not that long after I had bought the car. I have just traded it in with 63,000 miles on the clock. Mechanically it continued to give good service, but sadly the electrical parts and interior trim give less good service. The windscreen wipers, central locking, heater blower motor, battery and a couple of electronic sensors in the engine failed over the time I owned the car. The reason I got rid of the car (a year or so earlier than I had originally intended) was the heater motor. To my shock Skoda UK was unable to supply a replacement that had connectors compatible with my 1999 Octavia. They supplied a unit that physically looked similar, but had an E added to the end of the part number. The electrical connectors were totally different than the original fitted in the car. When I took it back to the dealer they checked and the part supplied was the only one available. result left with a car with non functional heater/demister - not good. This was the 3rd Skoda I owned (after 2 Felicia's) but I have now bought a different make of car.
