1990 Skoda Rapid RiC review from Hungary
"A real sporty coupe and my dream car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The electronic fuel pump (AC) has a very strange noise when the ignition is on. It gives a clicking noise.
Seats have started to wear badly, new covers will be needed soon.
It will need some TLC, which would include welding on the drivers rear corner/sill, a small bump on the d/s/r bumper (very minor dent on body only noticed when you hunt for it), a small paint graze on the p/s/f arch touched in, and various rust patches, mainly front wings and rear arches etc.
General comments?
I bought this car a month ago from the UK. It does benefit from being one of the very last off the production line of only a few living UK cars (and so being a rare car), with only a fraction of those being the limited edition model. This one is has the RiC (RiC stands for Rapid Injection Catalyst) fuel injection system.
