2003 smart fortwo - city coupe Passion review from UK and Ireland
"An excellent fun car for the young'uns!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with this car at all.
An annoying thing is if completing a motorway journey you need to idle for a minute or two before switching off the engine so the turbo charger can cool down.
Also speed bumps in U.K. are a pain as the distance between wheels are narrow and the front skirt is low.
General comments?
Fantastic car! Very economical to run and cheapest group insurance.. I now pay £36 per month as opposed to £114 for the MG!
Its appearance is to individual taste, but everyone is shocked and surprised to sit in one or drive one! Very large interior due to two seats only.
Loads of extras like electric roof, esp, ABS, a/c, heated leather seats! tiptronic/softouch auto gearbox.
It is comfortable to be seated for long journeys although the suspension is tight so feels bumps easily.
It can be parked anywhere! frontways, sideways, in half a space!
In the words of a fellow Smart driver "0-60 just like a Porsche, only slower!"
