2008 Subaru Forester XS review from Bulgaria
"Excellent price/performance small SUV"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
None has gone wrong so far. Of course I would not expect this to happen with a brand new car.
General comments?
It seems to be pretty potent, although all Subaru owners say that it starts to go much better after 10K km on the clock.
Drive feeling is like a normal car on the road, you feel driving AWD on sharp curves - handles like on rails. I've made a short trip through a country off-road, mostly mud and small bumps, although it was not a challenge for the car - it was the first challenge for me (I've never dared to enter there with my previous car)
The saloon looks pretty well laid out, passengers feel comfortable in the back, although I don't very much like the plastic feel of the dashboard - but that is reality, most modern cars have this plastic feel.
Trip computer shows only average economy, not the momentary fuel consumption, which Subaru could put on at no extra cost.
The service guys are not very supportive, they also keep the service prices high.
