The Corolla is a very nice car, except for its limitations on icy winter road conditions.
The Forester XT is an excellent performer in both good and bad road conditions.
The only thing keeps it from being perfect is its light weight. It would feel much better with another 500 lb. of curb weight.
If it performs so well on all road conditions, why would you want to add 500 lbs to it? Your mileage would go down about 4 mpg, and with the price of that super unleaded you have to use, it would really not be worth it.
