1999 Subaru Forester L review from North America
"Of the 7 new car purchases I've made, this is by far the worst"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Wheel bearing failed at 16,000 miles.
Ignition switch failed while driving, tow required, at about 20,000 miles.
Wheel bearing noisy and making clicks at 22,000 miles. Dealer 'adjusted' it.
At 24,000 miles, wheel bearing failed, smoked, 100 mile tow required.
General comments?
Car once seemed OK for my everyday driving, but now I'm afraid to take it anywhere because of the rate of failures that are potentially fatal.
